Join hands with several devotees of the community in celebrating auspicious and joyful event "Ka:rthi:ka Vanabho:janam" (Garden luncheon in the month of Ka:rthi:ka) on November 16th, Sunday from 11 am till 3 pm.

Vana bho:janam is an ancient practice of annual picnic undertaken during the month of Karthi:ka. For this event, all in the community come together and go to a near by park or forest where they cook sa:thvik food, worship the God in the form of mother nature and then take the offered prasa:dam with utmost respect while sitting together side by side (saha pankthi bho:janam).

Vedic Sana:thana Dharma preaches worshiping of divine nature, and as part of it each herbal plants like Tulasi (Ocimum), Usiri (Amla), Bilva and Durva plants are given great significance in rituals. During the month of Karthi:ka, especially on full moon day, the plant Usiri (Amla) is worshiped, and used in rituals to extract its herbal richness.
